Hot Weather Grips Sindh as Temperatures Soar Across Multiple Cities

Karachi and other parts of Sindh are facing severe weather conditions. The ongoing hot weather has affected daily life across several districts. Temperatures have risen above normal levels in many areas.

In Karachi, the temperature reached 36 Celsius. However, the feel-like impact of hot weather climbed to around 44 Celsius. Citizens are experiencing intense heat during daytime hours.

Hyderabad also reported extreme conditions. The maximum temperature reached 40 Celsius. The feel-like effect remained close to 44 Celsius due to humidity and dry winds.

Sukkur and Ghotki recorded even higher readings. The mercury surged to 44 Celsius in both districts. Jacobabad, Dadu, and Larkana saw temperatures reaching 43 Celsius. Nawabshah recorded around 42 Celsius.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that hot weather conditions will continue in the coming days. Most parts of Sindh are expected to remain dry. Temperatures may increase further across central and upper regions.

Officials have also issued a heatwave alert. They expect temperatures to stay 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal levels. The alert will remain active until May 03.

Weather experts have also raised concerns about global climate patterns. The Super El Niรฑo phenomenon may worsen conditions in Pakistan. It is linked to rising ocean temperatures in the Pacific.

Experts say this system disrupts normal weather patterns. It can lead to stronger heatwaves and unpredictable monsoon seasons. The impact of hot weather may become more severe in coming months.

An official from PMD stated that El Niรฑo conditions are expected in summer. He added that it may intensify into a Super El Niรฑo between August and September. This could further increase temperature levels across the region.

The United Nations has also warned about the developing weather pattern. It stated that El Niรฑo conditions could appear as early as May to July. The World Meteorological Organization has also confirmed strong early signals.

Authorities have advised people to avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours. Health experts recommend drinking more water and staying indoors when possible. Vulnerable groups are especially at risk during extreme hot weather.
