The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has launched the registration process for Grade 8 students who will appear in the Annual Exam 2026-27. The registration is being carried out through PECTAAโs Item Bank System (IBS).
According to an official notification, all public schools in Punjab have been instructed to register their Grade 8 students using official school login credentials on the IBS portal. The authority has asked schools to complete the process within the specified timeline.
The registration process started on May 25, 2026, and will remain open until July 8, 2026. PECTAA has directed District Education Authorities (DEAs) to monitor the process and ensure that all schools complete registrations before the deadline.
School heads have been given clear instructions regarding student data. They must ensure that the date of birth entered in the online enrollment forms matches the official records. Any errors or inconsistencies in the submitted information will be the responsibility of the head of the institution.
For the upcoming Annual Exam, schools are also required to upload recent passport-size photographs of all candidates. In addition, they must accurately enter student details, including names, fathersโ names, dates of birth, B-Form numbers, subject combinations, school information, and parent or guardian contact details.
PECTAA emphasized that all information must be entered carefully to avoid problems during the examination process. Accurate records will help ensure smooth management of the Annual Exam and reduce the chances of administrative issues later.
The notification further stated that requests for age corrections will only be considered according to PECTAAโs rules and regulations. Schools seeking any amendments must follow the official procedure set by the authority.
District authorities have also been instructed to issue necessary directions to school administrations. The aim is to ensure that every eligible Grade 8 student is registered on time for the examination session.
