The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has officially released the date sheet for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I annual examinations 2026, setting a clear timeline for thousands of students across Pakistan. According to the announced schedule, the written examinations will begin on May 14, 2026, marking the start of an important academic phase for intermediate students preparing for board exams.
The board has divided examination sessions into morning and evening shifts to manage student load efficiently. Morning papers will start at 9:00 AM with candidates required to report by 8:30 AM, while evening papers will begin at 2:30 PM with reporting time set at 2:00 PM. This structured system aims to ensure smooth conduct of exams across all affiliated institutions under FBISE.
Alongside written exams, the board has also announced that practical examinations will commence from June 29, 2026. Students have been strictly instructed to follow examination rules, with a clear ban on mobile phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices inside examination centres to maintain fairness and discipline throughout the exam process.
The detailed schedule includes a wide range of compulsory and elective subjects, covering science, arts, commerce, and humanities groups. Subjects such as Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, English, Urdu, and Islamic Studies are distributed across different dates, with regular gaps and closed days included to reduce academic pressure on students during the examination period.
FBISE has emphasized that students must carefully follow their respective timetables, as multiple subject combinations are scheduled on different days and shifts. The board has also ensured proper arrangements for practical and theory exams, especially for science students, where practical papers will be conducted separately after written exams conclude.
With the announcement of the 2026 HSSC Part-I date sheet, students are now expected to intensify their preparation. Educational institutions across the country are likely to adjust revision plans accordingly, as the examination cycle officially moves into its final preparation stage ahead of May 2026.
