MAKKAH: Saudi Arabia has officially begun issuing Umrah visas for international pilgrims. The new Umrah season allows travelers to enter the Kingdom starting Sunday, Dhul Hijjah 14, which corresponds to May 31.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the new schedule is part of the 1448 AH Umrah season plan. Pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia will be able to perform Umrah using updated digital services and regulated entry systems.
From Monday, June 1, pilgrims can obtain Umrah permits through the Nusuk application. This digital platform is designed to manage crowd flow and improve service efficiency in holy cities.
The ministry has set clear timelines for the entire Umrah season. The last date for issuing Umrah visas is Shawwal 1, 1448 AH, corresponding to March 9, 2027.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia also stated that all pilgrims must enter the country by Shawwal 15, 1448 AH, which is March 23, 2027. These deadlines are part of a structured system to ensure smooth travel operations.
The final departure date for all Umrah pilgrims has been set for Shawwal 30, 1448 AH, corresponding to April 7, 2027. Officials emphasized that no extensions will be granted beyond this date.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urged all international travel agents and service providers to strictly follow the official schedule. Companies handling pilgrim services in Saudi Arabia must comply with all rules and regulations.
Authorities said these measures are aimed at improving the overall experience for pilgrims. The system is designed to ensure safety, better organization, and high-quality services during the Umrah season.
Officials in Saudi Arabia also highlighted the importance of digital transformation in managing religious tourism. The Nusuk app is expected to play a key role in streamlining procedures for millions of pilgrims.
