The return of Pakistani pilgrims after the completion of Hajj 2026 is continuing smoothly, with more than 34,000 pilgrims already arriving back in the country. Authorities have said that the post-Hajj flight operation is progressing according to schedule and will continue until the end of June.
According to official details, 84,791 Pakistani pilgrims are still present in Saudi Arabia and are expected to return in phases over the coming weeks. The repatriation process is scheduled to continue until June 30, ensuring the safe return of all pilgrims who traveled for this year’s Hajj.
Officials have implemented several measures to make the return journey easier for pilgrims. Special arrangements have been introduced at airports to reduce congestion and improve travel efficiency. As part of these efforts, luggage check-in services are being provided directly at pilgrims’ accommodations before their departure.
Authorities said baggage processing is taking place 24 to 48 hours before scheduled flights. Pilgrims have been advised to prepare their luggage according to the provided timelines to avoid delays and ensure a smooth travel experience.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf is also expected to return to Pakistan after completing his official duties related to the pilgrimage operation in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, around 250 members of the Hajj support staff have already returned after successfully carrying out their responsibilities during the pilgrimage season.
Officials further revealed that more than 15,000 Pakistani pilgrims have been able to visit Riyaz-ul-Jannah in Madinah as part of post-Hajj arrangements. The visits were organized to facilitate pilgrims who wished to offer prayers at one of Islam’s most revered sites before returning home.
The annual Hajj operation requires extensive coordination between Pakistani and Saudi authorities. This includes transportation, accommodation, health services, and flight management for thousands of pilgrims. Officials have expressed satisfaction with the ongoing return operation and stated that efforts are being made to ensure comfort and convenience for travelers.
