Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have introduced simple online services to help people check their UAE visa status quickly. This move comes as immigration officials announced a special 30-day grace period for certain visa holders.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) said the grace period is for people affected by recent regional disruptions. It allows them to regularize their stay or leave the country without penalties.
The grace period will remain active until July 9, 2026. It applies to those who were unable to leave the UAE because of exceptional regional conditions.
Officials said checking your UAE visa status online is important to avoid any legal issues. People with visit visas or residence permits can now verify their visa details in just a few minutes.
For visas issued in Dubai, users can check their status through the official system of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). Applicants can search using their application number, file number, or other service details.
To use the Dubai service, visa holders need to enter personal details such as their first name, nationality, file number, and date of birth. After completing the Captcha, the system will show the UAE visa details.
For visas issued in other emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah, the ICP online platform can be used.
Users can search by file number, passport details, or Emirates ID. They must select whether they want to check a residence visa or a visit visa.
After the search is completed, the system will show important details. These include the file number, visa status, issue date, and expiry date.
Officials have urged all residents and visitors to check their UAE visa validity on time. This will help them avoid overstay fines and stay compliant with immigration laws.
