UAE Grants 30-Day Grace Period for Residents to Regularize or Exit Without Penalties

The United Arab Emirates has announced a new relief measure for affected individuals. Under this decision, UAE Grants a 30-day grace period to help residents regularize their status or leave the country without fines.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) confirmed the announcement. The grace period will run from June 10 to July 9, 2026.

The move applies to individuals impacted by earlier regional disruptions. These people were previously exempted from overstay fines due to exceptional travel issues.

The latest decision shows that UAE Grants additional flexibility for those who were unable to leave the country during the period of instability.

According to the ICP, the purpose of this measure is to ensure compliance with UAE residency laws. It also allows affected individuals to either adjust their legal status or exit the country through proper channels.

Authorities explained that earlier waivers were issued on humanitarian grounds. However, they noted that regional conditions have now stabilized.

With the situation improving, UAE Grants this final opportunity for individuals to resolve their residency status without penalties.

The ICP clarified that no prior application is required to benefit from the grace period. Eligible individuals can directly use the facility during the announced dates.

Those who wish to stay in the UAE can update their residency or employment records. Others can leave the country without facing fines or legal action.

Officials have urged all beneficiaries to follow official guidelines carefully. They also advised residents to rely only on verified government sources for updates.

The authority emphasized that UAE Grants this initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to support fair and transparent immigration procedures.

The ICP added that this step reflects the countryโ€™s balanced approach between law enforcement and humanitarian consideration.
