Chances of Rains Increase in Karachi, Lahore And Islamabad

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast chances of rains in several parts of the country over the next few days. Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and other regions are expected to experience changing weather conditions as the monsoon system strengthens.

According to the latest forecast, Karachi will remain partly cloudy and humid during the next 24 hours. Light drizzle is likely in some areas during the early morning and nighttime hours.

The chances of rains in Karachi remain limited, but isolated drizzle and occasional gusty winds may provide temporary relief from humid weather. Residents have been advised to stay updated with official weather bulletins.

The weather department said Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 33ยฐC and 35ยฐC. The minimum temperature was recorded at 29.1ยฐC.

Humidity in the city has reached 78 percent, making conditions feel warmer than the actual temperature. Sea breezes are blowing at around 18 kilometers per hour.

Meteorologists said the chances of rains could increase if the monsoon system becomes stronger over the coming days. However, no widespread heavy rainfall has been forecast for Karachi at this stage.

Meanwhile, Lahore received overnight rainfall that brought cooler temperatures across the city. Residents experienced a mix of cloudy skies and sunshine during the day.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department reported Lahore’s current temperature at around 30ยฐC. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 37ยฐC, while the minimum may remain near 28ยฐC.

Weather officials have predicted a 70 percent chance of rain in Lahore during the day. Winds are blowing at approximately 14 kilometers per hour, while humidity stands at 70 percent.

The chances of rains are also high in Islamabad, where intermittent showers are expected to continue throughout the day. The federal capital may record a maximum temperature of 35ยฐC.

According to the Met Office, the current spell of wet weather is likely to continue for the next two to three days in several parts of Pakistan. The forecast includes rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in multiple regions.

Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to receive rain during this period. Some areas could experience gusty winds and thunderstorms as the weather system moves across the country.

Authorities have advised people to remain cautious during changing weather conditions. Drivers are encouraged to be careful on wet roads, while residents should avoid unnecessary travel during heavy showers.

The weather department continues to monitor the developing monsoon system and will issue updated forecasts if conditions change. Citizens are encouraged to rely on official weather advisories for the latest information.

The increasing chances of rains across different regions are expected to bring relief from recent hot weather. However, officials have urged the public to remain alert, especially in areas where thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast.
