The Pakistan Supreme Court (SC) has scheduled a hearing for a plea aimed at releasing the classified section, known as “volume 10,” from the report crafted by a six-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT). This JIT was appointed by the Supreme Court to investigate the offshore assets of the Sharif family, as exposed by the Panama Papers. The Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial-led two-member bench is set to address the petition submitted by the Broadsheet Company on August 22.
The Broadsheet Company’s submission highlights its collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in locating the Sharif family’s overseas properties.

The company alleges that NAB failed to fulfill payment for this property search. Consequently, Broadsheet is urging the apex court to release the elusive Volume 10. The company’s intent is to present this specific volume as evidence in a British court.
Notably, Broadsheet had taken legal recourse against NAB in a UK court to retrieve outstanding dues, thus framing the issue within a broader international legal context.
