KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a modest increase on the first working day of the week, continuing the upward trend seen in recent sessions. The latest rise follows a small gain in international bullion rates, while silver prices also moved higher in the local market.

According to the latest market rates, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs300 per tola. After the increase, one tola of gold is now being sold at Rs424,536.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed by Rs258. It is now available at Rs363,971, reflecting the latest movement in the domestic bullion market.

Latest Gold and Silver Rates

MetalLatest Price
Gold (Per Tola)Rs424,536
Gold (10 Grams)Rs363,971
Silver (Per Tola)Rs6,177

The latest increase comes only two days after a significant jump in the local market. On Saturday, Gold prices surged by Rs2,400 per tola, pushing the rate to Rs424,236. That sharp rise highlighted the continued strength of the bullion market despite ongoing global economic uncertainty.

In the international market, gold also posted a slight gain. The global price increased by $3 per ounce, taking the international rate to $4,021 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Pakistan’s bullion market closely follows international price movements. Changes in global gold rates and currency exchange values often influence local prices. As a result, even a small increase in the international market can affect domestic bullion rates.

Silver also remained on an upward path during the latest trading session. The price of silver rose by Rs107 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs6,177 per tola in Pakistan.

Jewellers and traders continue to monitor both local and international market trends. Many buyers are also watching price movements before making investment or purchasing decisions.

Experts believe global economic conditions remain one of the biggest factors influencing precious metal prices. Inflation concerns, central bank policies, interest rates, and geopolitical developments continue to affect investor sentiment worldwide.

Gold is widely considered a safe-haven asset during periods of financial uncertainty. This often leads investors to increase their holdings when economic risks rise. Such demand can contribute to higher international prices, which eventually impact Pakistan’s local market.

Currency fluctuations also play an important role in determining domestic bullion rates. Since gold is traded globally in US dollars, changes in the value of the Pakistani rupee can directly influence local prices.

Despite the modest increase, market analysts expect Gold prices to remain sensitive to global developments in the coming days. Investors are expected to keep a close watch on international economic data and bullion market trends before making new investment decisions.
