LAHORE: Authorities have installed more than 40,000 QR panic buttons across public transport vehicles in Lahore.
The safety devices have been placed in rickshaws, ride-hailing cabs, and other public transport vehicles. The initiative aims to improve passenger protection and emergency response.

Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi shared details about the ongoing installation campaign. He said traffic teams are working at 45 locations across Lahore.
Teams have also been deployed across different traffic sectors. In addition, 12 dedicated teams are working specifically on rickshaw installations.
