Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced the Class 9 General Group results for 2026.
The Result covers regular and private candidates who appeared in the first annual examination. The combined pass percentage stood at 36.29%.
According to the board’s figures, 15,244 candidates registered for the examination. A total of 14,260 students appeared, while 1,984 candidates remained absent.
Regular Candidates Record 36.59% Pass Rate
Among regular candidates, 10,064 students registered for the Class 9 examinations. Of these, 9,530 candidates appeared, while 534 students were absent.
A total of 3,487 regular candidates successfully passed all seven papers. Meanwhile, 2,088 students cleared six papers.
Another 1,335 candidates passed five papers, while 902 students cleared four papers. The Result data showed that 673 regular candidates passed three papers. Another 450 students passed two papers.
A total of 309 candidates managed to clear only one paper.
The overall pass percentage among regular General Group candidates was recorded at 36.59%.
Private Candidates Achieve 35.69% Pass Rate
BSEK also released detailed figures for private candidates in the General Group.
A total of 5,180 private candidates registered for the examination. Of these, 4,730 students appeared and 450 remained absent.
Among those who appeared, 1,688 candidates passed all seven papers. Another 1,279 students successfully cleared six papers.
The board reported that 596 candidates passed five papers. Meanwhile, 388 students successfully cleared four papers.
A further 254 candidates passed three papers, while 202 students cleared two papers. The figures also showed that 183 private candidates passed only one paper.
Private candidates recorded an overall pass percentage of 35.69% in the examination.
Overall Class 9 General Group Result 2026
The combined figures show a relatively low overall success rate for regular and private students. According to BSEK, the overall pass percentage for both categories was 36.29%.
