The demonstrators, including figures like Pir Abbas Chughtai, Saleem Shahzad Miankhel, and former MPA Shaista Khan Baloch, displayed placards and banners outlining their demands. These pensioners revealed that they had not received their pensions for the past 14 months, causing financial hardship and forcing them to sell household items to make ends meet. They also accused the university of making political appointments, leading to financial instability. The protesters warned of further demonstrations outside the Governor’s House in Peshawar if their pension payments were not promptly addressed.
