The Lahore police have intercepted an attempt to supply 400 kilograms of dead meat, with two individuals involved in the supply of dead meat to marriage halls apprehended.
The police reported the recovery of 280 kilograms of beef and 120 kilograms of hazardous mutton from the suspects.

The two men were caught while transporting the dead meat from Farooqabad to Lahore in a vehicle.
In August, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) also prevented the supply of 8,651 kilograms of dead chicken in the provincial capital, and a network involved in the supply of substandard meat, including dead chicken, to shops and restaurants in Rawalpindi and Islamabad was uncovered by the PFA.
