Instagram has introduced a new generative AI-powered tool allowing users to create custom backgrounds for their Stories.
The tool, part of Meta’s efforts, is accessible after capturing or uploading a photo, appearing alongside other icons on the top of the screen.
Users can describe the desired backdrop, and the AI will generate a new background accordingly. Instagram will tag Stories created with this feature and include a sticker encouraging viewers to try the tool along with the provided prompt.
This addition reflects Meta’s continued exploration of AI-driven features on its platforms.
