Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has initiated contact with 12 defected National Assembly lawmakers, signalling a proactive move to bolster its standing. Sources within the party suggest that these dissatisfied lawmakers are set to meet with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, seeking assurances before contemplating a return to the party fold.
Insiders familiar with the situation emphasize that the realignment of these 12 defected lawmakers with PML-N would mark a significant strengthening of the party’s position.

In the post-election landscape, political parties are actively engaged in strategic moves to secure the necessary majority. PML-N, in its pursuit, has also reached out to Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif recently engaged in a telephone conversation with JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The discussion covered various aspects of the recent elections, and both leaders expressed their commitment to maintaining ongoing communication.
