To assist citizens during the holy month of Ramazan, the interim government in Pakistan has devised a relief package, featuring subsidies on 19 essential items available at utility stores. The subsidized items encompass staples like flour, sugar, ghee, cooking oil, rice, pulses, dates, chickpea flour (besan), milk, beverages, and spices.

Administered through the Ministry of Industries and Production, the Ramazan package primarily targets families registered with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) whose poverty index score is PMT-60 or below. Eligible families not currently enlisted with BISP are encouraged to enroll by contacting their nearest BISP offices.
The relief package aims to extend affordability during Ramazan. Apart from targeted subsidies, special discounts will be provided to general consumers, further enhancing accessibility to essential items for all citizens. This initiative by the caretaker government underscores its commitment to ensuring the well-being and financial ease of the population during the holy month.
