Judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, and Sofia Vergara will each have this increased power, while host Terry Crews retains his single Golden Buzzer, bringing the total potential golden tickets to nine.
Terry Crews enthusiastically compared the previous limitation of one Golden Buzzer per judge to running out of Halloween candy, ensuring fans that this season will fully recognize acts that “need and deserve” the Golden Buzzer. Howie Mandel, known for his animated reactions, expressed his excitement, calling this season “epic” and reminiscing about the impactful introduction of the Golden Buzzer.

Even Simon Cowell’s son, Eric, has been influenced by the Golden Buzzer fever, often questioning his father’s decisions and even pressing the buzzer himself during a recent U.K. episode.
With this new twist, season 19 promises to deliver more thrilling moments, as deserving acts have increased chances to secure their spots in the Live Shows. The new season premieres on NBC on Tuesday, May 28, at 8 p.m. ET, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
