In the Swat district’s Sangota hamlet on Tuesday, six people were hurt, including at least one student.
According to police sources, the tragedy was brought on when a police officer stationed at the private school accidentally started firing.An investigation is being conducted, and the suspect has been brought into custody. A rush was started on the school grounds after the gunshot out of fright.
The injured have been taken to a local hospital where they are receiving medical care.
Earlier, two children were injured and the driver of a school van was slain when unidentified gunmen attacked their vehicle in the hamlet of Guli Bagh in the Swat area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
According to authorities, the attackers struck the vehicle while they were waiting on a motorbike. Soon after the onslaught, they escaped unopposed.
According to district officials, the driver was the focus of the assault.
