The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the discovery of new gas reserves in Punjab, which is expected to significantly benefit the country’s economy.
According to an OGDCL spokesperson, the reserves were found in the Mari East Block, specifically in Chak 1-202 of the Rahim Yar Khan district.

These newly discovered reserves are anticipated to produce 6.15 million cubic feet of gas daily. This is OGDCL’s second successful gas discovery this month, further boosting the nation’s energy resources.
The spokesperson highlighted that this discovery will help reduce the gap between domestic gas supply and demand, reaffirming OGDCL’s dedication to advancing Pakistan’s energy sector.
