Karachi ASI Suspended Over Viral Video of Inappropriate Behavior in Front of Women

Police in Karachi are once again in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, as a police officer has been suspended for changing clothes in front of a woman at a police station.

The incident, which was caught on camera, went viral online, showing the officer, identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Parvez, changing his shirt in front of two women at the Liaquatabad Police Station.

The video sparked widespread outrage and raised concerns about the ethical standards within the police force. In the footage, the women can be seen turning away uncomfortably as he changed his uniform.

The women in the video were reportedly summoned to the station by ASI Parvez in relation to an ongoing investigation. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) West, Irfan Baloch, promptly responded to the incident by suspending ASI Parvez for his inappropriate conduct.

Senior officials condemned the incident, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable and will be addressed according to the investigation’s findings.
