Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has vowed to address the national cricket team’s issues following their 10-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in the Rawalpindi Test. Speaking to the media on Monday, Naqvi promised to make significant changes, saying, “I will fix the issues in Pakistan cricket, God willing,” and assured that major adjustments are underway behind the scenes.
Bangladesh achieved a historic 10-wicket victory over Pakistan, dismissing the team for just 146 runs in their second innings. Spinners Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan took seven wickets between them, leading Bangladesh to chase down the modest target of 30 runs in just 6.3 overs.

Earlier in June, Naqvi had suggested that a major overhaul might be necessary following Pakistan’s narrow loss to India in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which jeopardized their qualification for the Super Eight stage. He noted that the team’s poor performance now necessitates even more extensive changes.
Bangladesh’s win was marked by Zakir Hasan hitting the decisive boundary, with Shadman Islam remaining unbeaten, as they celebrated their maiden victory over Pakistan in Test cricket. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto dedicated the win to victims of recent political turmoil in the country.
