Ken Wilson, a resident of Vacaville, California, recently uncovered that he had been unknowingly paying his neighbor’s electricity bill for almost two decades.
Wilson became suspicious after noticing unusually high charges on his Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) bill, despite efforts to reduce his consumption.

After turning off his power and seeing the meter still running, Wilson investigated further.
PG&E confirmed that his meter had been incorrectly connected to a neighboring apartment since at least 2009. However, Wilson believes the issue may have started as early as 2006 when he first moved in.
