Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia on November 11 to attend the Second Joint Arab Islamic Summit in Riyadh, where he will highlight the escalating Palestinian crisis and the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Middle East.
During the summit, Shehbaz will reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for Palestine and is expected to call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire to end the violence in Gaza, which has drawn widespread international condemnation. “Pakistan’s stance on Palestine remains firm, and we will continue to demand a halt to the genocide taking place in Gaza,” a government spokesperson stated.

Shehbaz’s agenda also includes meetings with leaders from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League to address the worsening situation in the region. The summit is seen as a vital platform for discussing the Middle East’s most pressing issues.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar will accompany the prime minister on this diplomatic mission, with both expected to engage in discussions on enhancing bilateral relations with Saudi officials.
In recent remarks, PM Shehbaz emphasized the importance of Pakistan’s partnership with Saudi Arabia, particularly in areas such as economic cooperation, solar energy, mining, agriculture, and investment. His visit follows a series of high-level meetings, including discussions between Army Chief General Asim Munir and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on regional security, defense cooperation, and broader bilateral ties.
This diplomatic effort underscores Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to the Palestinian cause and its ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with the Arab world while seeking a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
