The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a written ruling on the petition filed by Noreen Niazi regarding jail facilities and meetings with Imran Khan, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The court has disposed of the case after receiving assurances from the jail authorities that they would comply with court orders and prison regulations.
The ruling, delivered by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, referenced a detailed report submitted by the superintendent of Adiala Jail. The report confirmed that the previously imposed ban on meetings for Imran Khan and other inmates, enforced by Punjab’s Home Department over security concerns, had been lifted. The authorities also informed the court that a meeting between petitioner Noreen Niazi and Imran Khan had been arranged.

The court order further stated that Imran Khan had appointed a coordinator to manage meeting requests, and individuals wishing to meet him could contact this coordinator. The jail’s deputy superintendent assured the court that all required facilities for Imran Khan were being provided in accordance with jail rules.
Since the petitioner’s lawyers expressed satisfaction with the responses from the jail authorities, the court disposed of the petition for jail facilities.
