As part of “Aam Log, Khaas Kahaniyan Season 2,” Maria.B invited people to share inspiring stories. The campaign focused on people making a difference without seeking recognition.
Four stories were selected from the entries received from across Pakistan. Maria.B Cares Foundation has now stepped forward to support their work.
Rawa Khan Supports Children Through Education
Rawa Khan runs an education initiative in Khati Pahadi, Karachi. Many families there migrated from Balochistan and face serious financial challenges.
Some parents struggle to choose between food and their children’s education. Rawa Khan created a support system to address this problem.
Her initiative provides food and assistance equal to what a child could earn. This allows children to attend school instead of working.
The school currently provides education up to Grade 3. It also has plans to expand its educational services.
Maria.B Cares Foundation is supporting the initiative’s growth. The support will help Rawa Khan continue providing education to more children.
Arab Shah Helps Girls Reach Schools
Arab Shah has been providing free transport for girls in Peshawar since 2014. His efforts began after his sisters faced difficulties reaching educational institutions.
Their schools were located far from their home. Arab Shah decided to provide safe transport for other girls facing similar challenges.
He currently operates the service with one rickshaw and one van. The vehicles help girls travel safely to schools and colleges.
Maria.B Cares Foundation is adding another vehicle to his fleet. This support will help Arab Shah serve more students.
Sohail Sisters Represent Pakistan
The Sohail Sisters are four gold medal-winning weightlifters from Pakistan. They have represented the country at international competitions.
The sisters have faced limited resources from their sports federation. They have also worked other jobs to finance their international travel.
Maria.B Cares Foundation is now sponsoring the sisters. The support will allow them to focus more fully on their sporting careers.
Ehsam and Natasha Promote Innovation
Engineers Ehsam and Natasha founded Makeistan in Gilgit. The initiative gives students tools and support to develop their ideas.
Students can work on projects involving robots and other technologies. The founders also plan to expand creative learning for younger students.
Their future plans include students from Grades 3 and 4. The goal is to encourage innovation from an early age.
Maria.B Cares Foundation has joined the project as a co-sponsor. It will help establish a dedicated laboratory at a community-run school in Gulmit.
