A case has been filed against top PTI leaders, including party founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, for their alleged involvement in the violent protests on November 24. The legal action, the first since the unrest, was taken at Taxila police station, where the protests were deemed to have violated anti-terrorism laws.
The case, which includes several charges, names over 300 individuals, including prominent PTI figures such as opposition leader Omar Ayub, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI’s Aleema Khan, and Senator Azam Swati, along with other leaders like Taimur Masood and Shehryar Riaz.

The complaint states that protesters caused damage to government property, including vehicles and motorcycles, during clashes with police. Disturbingly, the accused are also charged with kidnapping and torturing a police driver, who was reportedly held by the protesters before being released.
The case, No. 2594, includes charges of interference with government operations, violation of Section 144, and destruction of public and private property. The protesters are also accused of blocking highways, inciting chaos, and disrupting the public with large gatherings. These protests were part of PTI’s ongoing campaign, with convoys heading to Islamabad on November 24.
