Shaheen Shah Afridi has lost his top spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings, falling to second after Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan surged to number one. Afridi, who had earlier reached the top after his stellar performance in Pakistan’s ODI series win over Australia, missed the first two ODIs against Zimbabwe, resulting in a loss of 14 points.
Rashid Khan’s rise to number one comes after impressive performances against Bangladesh and South Africa, where he claimed 12 wickets, including a match-winning five-wicket haul. Rashid is now just five wickets away from becoming the fourth-fastest bowler to reach 200 ODI wickets.
