WhatsApp has launched a new shortcut within the Chats tab to enhance user accessibility to Meta AI conversations. This feature, part of the latest beta update for iOS (version 24.25.10.79), replaces the earlier shortcut located at the top of the navigation bar.
The repositioning aims to improve convenience, particularly for users of larger devices, by reducing the need to stretch to the top of the screen. WhatsApp hopes this update will encourage users to explore AI-powered features, including personalized image generation and other creative tools.

The design follows the Android app’s floating action button for Meta AI, maintaining consistency across platforms. The new placement is available to select beta testers via the TestFlight app, with plans for broader availability soon.
While the feature is still in testing, WhatsApp may refine its design based on user feedback, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
