The CM also highlighted initiatives to support farmers, including the availability of modern agricultural machinery for rent in every tehsil and the elimination of middlemen. She emphasized that fertilizer is now available at fixed rates, ensuring affordability for farmers.

She also reported that the target for wheat cultivation in Punjab has been met and that local production of livestock vaccines will be expanded.

Maryam Nawaz commented on the importance of improving livestock quality and breed, mentioning the introduction of animal tagging with QR codes across Punjab. She expressed joy at meeting farmers who have obtained the Livestock Cards, including students and women, and emphasized the potential for the scheme to boost prosperity in the region.

The CM praised the economic recovery since the end of Nawaz Sharif’s tenure in 2017, noting that inflation had decreased significantly, and the price of flour and bread in Punjab was lower than in other provinces. She assured that efforts would be made to prevent the price of bread from rising. With the improvement of the economy, she said, the people’s purchasing power would also increase.

Finally, the CM announced that those with 10 or fewer animals would receive Rs270,000 over four months through the Livestock Card, which will contribute to better meat and milk production, as well as exports.
