Khawaja Asif Denies Claims of Government Offering Imran Khan Release

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has firmly rejected reports suggesting that the government had offered to move PTI founder Imran Khan to his Bani Gala residence or any other location. Speaking at a ceremony in Sialkot on Saturday, Asif dismissed these claims as baseless, emphasizing that the decision regarding Khan’s release is solely in the hands of the judiciary.

Asif reiterated that all attempts by PTI to destabilize the country had failed, highlighting improvements in Pakistan’s economic indicators. He clarified that, as a member of the executive, he had no authority to comment on matters concerning the judiciary’s decisions regarding Khan’s release. “These claims are being made by PTI themselves,” he said, stressing that no such offer had been made by the government.
