Hrithik Roshan’s iconic debut film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai is set to return to cinemas after 25 years, reported The Indian Express. However, Roshan expressed concerns about how today’s audience might view the blockbuster, calling it a “dated” offering during a recent interview.
“I’m afraid people will see it and think, ‘What were we thinking?'” he admitted. Released in 2000, the romantic thriller starred Roshan alongside Ameesha Patel and was directed by his father, Rakesh Roshan. The double-role performance by Roshan launched him into superstardom, showcasing his stellar dance moves and chiselled looks.

Recalling a memorable moment from the film, Roshan shared his struggle to mimic guitar playing for the song Pyar Ki Kashti Mein. “I thought I nailed it, but my sons now tell me I didn’t,” he joked, acknowledging the mismatch in his play-acting. Despite this, the film earned Roshan several awards and remains a milestone in Bollywood.
Roshan’s latest project, Fighter, has moved him far from his romantic hero beginnings, earning mixed reviews from audiences.
