Oppo has revealed its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Find N5, which it claims will be the thinnest foldable device on the market. The company teased the device in a post by Pete Lau, Oppo’s chief product officer, on Weibo, showing a sleek design thinner than a typical pencil. This new device is set to surpass the current leader in thinness, the Honor Magic V3, which measures 4.35mm when unfolded.
Although Oppo has not shared full specifications, rumors suggest the Find N5 will feature the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a triple 50MP rear camera system, and a 5,900mAh battery. With foldable phones typically being bulkier than standard smartphones, a slimmer design like this is sure to attract attention for its portability.

The Find N5 is expected to be launched in February, with the possibility of a version being released under OnePlus, Oppo’s sister company. This strategy mirrors the release of previous Oppo foldable devices, where OnePlus launched a similar version of the Oppo Find N3 as the OnePlus Open.
Oppo’s new foldable design promises a more compact option for users who want the extra screen space but don’t want the added bulk. The thinner design of the Find N5 is a significant leap forward in the foldable phone market.
