Legendary British singer and actress Marianne Faithfull has passed away at the age of 78. Her spokesperson confirmed that she died peacefully in London, surrounded by her family. Faithfull was a defining figure of the 1960s and 70s, leaving behind a lasting legacy in music and pop culture.
Faithfull rose to fame in 1964 with As Tears Go By, a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. She went on to release 21 solo albums, including the critically acclaimed Broken English in 1979. Beyond music, she was known for her acting career and her turbulent relationship with Jagger.
