Trump’s Gaza ‘Takeover’ Plan Sparks Global Outrage

Trump

Former US President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians from Gaza and take control of the region has triggered widespread condemnation. During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump suggested that Palestinians “would love to leave” and proposed long-term US control over Gaza, raising fears of ethnic cleansing and further instability.

Hamas and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) strongly rejected the plan, calling it an expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland. The Palestinian UN envoy, Riyad Mansour, emphasized that Gazans should rebuild their rightful homeland rather than be displaced.

The proposal was also condemned by Saudi Arabia, China, Turkey, and Russia, with each nation warning against forced displacement. US Senators Chris Murphy and Chris Van Hollen criticized the idea as reckless and a violation of international law.

Amnesty International and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) also denounced the plan, calling it an affront to human rights. With growing international backlash, Trump’s proposal has been widely dismissed as a dangerous and destabilizing move.
