Sher Afzal Marwat’s ‘Mujhe Kyun Nikala?’ Sparks Laughter in National Assembly

Sher Afzal Marwat

Former PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat stirred laughter in the National Assembly with his humorous yet pointed remark, “Mujhe kyun nikala?” (Why was I removed?), following his expulsion from the party. His statement, echoing past political controversies, drew mixed reactions, with government members thumping desks in amusement while PTI lawmakers remained silent.

Marwat’s entry through the treasury benches instead of the opposition gate further fueled the lighthearted exchange, prompting a playful warning from the Speaker. During the session, instead of addressing the proposed merger of mobile companies, Marwat once again questioned his removal, leading to chants from government members demanding justice for him.

PML-N’s Hanif Abbasi joined the banter, reassuring Marwat that they would help him return to PTI. Meanwhile, PTI’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has urged Imran Khan to reconsider Marwat’s expulsion.

Marwat, in a social media post, expressed disappointment over his removal, stating that he remained loyal to PTI’s vision despite internal opposition within the party. However, he maintained that he would not beg for reinstatement, urging party workers to stand against injustice.
