Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy revealed on Sunday that Russia had launched over 200 drones in a massive overnight assault—the largest drone attack of the war. He condemned Moscow’s “aerial terror” and urged Ukraine’s allies to remain united.
“Our people face aerial terror every day,” Zelenskiy stated on X.
He further disclosed that, on the eve of the third anniversary of the full-scale war, Russia deployed 267 attack drones, marking the most extensive drone offensive since Iranian drones first began striking Ukrainian cities and towns.

According to Ukraine’s air force, 138 drones were intercepted, while 119 vanished from radars after being jammed by electronic warfare. Russia also fired three ballistic missiles, causing destruction in five regions.
For months, Moscow has been conducting frequent large-scale drone strikes in an apparent effort to wear down Ukraine’s air defenses.
Zelenskiy also reported that, within the past week alone, Russia had launched nearly 1,150 attack drones, over 1,400 guided aerial bombs, and 35 missiles of various types at Ukraine.
He expressed gratitude to those defending Ukraine’s airspace and urged international allies to stand firm in securing a “just and lasting peace.”
“This goal can only be achieved through the unity of all partners—we need the strength of Europe, the strength of America, and the strength of everyone who desires lasting peace,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Kyiv and its European partners have grown increasingly uneasy following verbal attacks on Zelenskiy by newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. Concerns have also risen after a U.S.-Russia meeting in Riyadh, which notably excluded Ukraine.
