Apple has announced plans to invest $500 billion in the US over the next four years, including the development of a 250,000-square-foot factory in Texas for AI server production. The company will also create 20,000 research and development jobs nationwide.
The investment covers various sectors, from supplier purchases to Apple TV+ productions. Apple did not specify how much of this spending was already planned with existing suppliers, including Corning and Broadcom.

The announcement follows reports of Apple CEO Tim Cook meeting with former President Donald Trump, whose potential return to office could bring renewed tariffs on Apple’s China-assembled products. Apple previously committed $350 billion in US investments during Trump’s first term.
Apple will collaborate with Foxconn to build AI servers in Houston and increase its Advanced Manufacturing Fund from $5 billion to $10 billion, supporting semiconductor production at TSMC’s Arizona facility. Additionally, Apple will launch a Michigan-based manufacturing academy to train small and mid-sized manufacturers.
