Andrew and Tristan Tate Leave Romania Amid Ongoing Criminal Investigations

Controversial internet personalities Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have reportedly left Romania and are en route to the United States. The brothers departed early Thursday morning from Baneasa Airport in Bucharest, with the flight believed to be heading to Florida.

This move follows approval from Romanian prosecutors for Andrew Tate, 38, to travel abroad despite ongoing criminal investigations. Both Tate brothers face serious charges, including rape, human trafficking, and exploiting women—accusations they have consistently denied. Although recently released from house arrest, the Tates had previously been barred from leaving Romania while legal proceedings continued.

The brothers, vocal supporters of former US President Donald Trump, have been entangled in several legal disputes. Despite rumors, the Romanian government denied any claims that the US administration pressured them to lift the Tates’ travel restrictions. At the Munich Security Conference, it was reported that Trump’s envoy, Richard Grenell, discussed the Tates’ situation with Romania’s foreign minister, though no official link has been confirmed.

Andrew Tate, a former boxer, has cultivated a massive online following across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. However, his controversial statements advocating violence against women have led to multiple bans from these platforms. While Tate has admitted to holding sexist and misogynistic views, he later claimed that many of his remarks were made in the persona of a “comic character” and were misinterpreted.

Despite the backlash, Tate continues to resonate with a large audience, particularly young men. Concerns persist over the influence his views may have on impressionable teenagers, with many critics worried about the rise of toxic masculinity associated with his content.
