The violence in the sparsely populated region of Balochistan continues, with the latest incident involving the killing of three barbers from Sindh, which has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation.
According to local media reports, three men—Abdul Sattar, Zubair, and Muhammad Zaman—were fatally shot by unidentified assailants inside their shop in Panjgur, a town near the Sistan region of Balochistan.

Following the attack, their bodies were transported to a nearby medical facility for post-mortem examinations, while authorities launched a search operation to track down the perpetrators.
The targeting of non-local individuals in Balochistan is part of a broader wave of violence, as militant groups like the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and other armed outfits continue to instill fear and unrest in the region.
Balochistan’s provincial authorities strongly condemned the brutal killings. Provincial spokesperson Shahid Rind denounced the attack as “tragic and reprehensible,” emphasizing that the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians was an inhumane and barbaric act. He further suggested that such incidents could be part of a larger conspiracy aimed at creating divisions between provinces.
Meanwhile, security forces have intensified operations to apprehend those responsible, stressing that any attempt to disrupt peace and harmony in Balochistan will not be tolerated.
This incident follows a similar attack last month, where several laborers from Punjab lost their lives in a deadly explosion near the Afghanistan border. The victims were en route to a market in Harnai, Balochistan, when their vehicle was struck by an explosive device.
