Balochistan’s southwestern region experienced a tragic train hijacking, with over 300 passengers taken hostage as rescue efforts continue.
Survivors from Jaffer Express shared distressing accounts of the attackers’ actions. One survivor stated that the assailants communicated in Balochi, with their leader repeatedly instructing them to focus on security personnel.

“Watch the security forces closely; they must not escape,” the commander ordered the suicide bombers.
Eyewitnesses reported that militants moved through the train, checking ID cards and separating those suspected of being security personnel. Many survivors overheard these commands, highlighting the attackers’ intent to single out perceived threats.
The constant directives from the militant leader created an atmosphere of fear, making it clear that their primary objective was to capture or eliminate security personnel.
Survivors described the attack as lasting over an hour, involving intense gunfire and explosions. While women, children, and the elderly were allowed to leave, several passengers were detained under suspicion of being security forces.
