The Pakistan Super League (PSL) achieved a historic milestone by unveiling its 10th edition trophy, named “Luminara,” in the waters of the Arabian Sea.
This groundbreaking event marked a significant chapter in PSL’s journey, showcasing the league’s commitment to innovation, resilience, and excellence, which have defined Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament over the years.

“Luminara” is an exquisite masterpiece, meticulously crafted from a single sheet of solid silver, with intricate stone settings adding to its elegance.
Weighing 10 kilograms, the trophy is adorned with 22,850 high-lustre zircon stones, symbolizing the energy, brilliance, and competitive spirit of the HBL PSL.
The name “Luminara” originates from the Latin word ‘luminare’ (meaning ‘torch’) and ‘lumens’ (meaning ‘light’), signifying the league’s decade-long journey of illuminating the cricketing world with excellence and entertainment.
The trophy was revealed in a spectacular fashion in the open waters of the Arabian Sea. A professional diver, assisted by the Pakistan Navy, retrieved a treasure chest from the depths of the sea and presented the prestigious trophy to PSL stakeholders in Karachi.
This awe-inspiring moment represented the league’s growth, evolution, and unwavering passion for the sport. The event was attended by PCB officials, franchise owners, and cricketers, further intensifying excitement for PSL X.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi stated,
“The unveiling of ‘Luminara’ in the Arabian Sea reflects PSL’s dedication to innovation and excellence. As we celebrate a decade of PSL, this trophy stands as a symbol of the league’s remarkable legacy and its bright future.”
PSL Chief Executive Officer, Salman Naseer, added,
“The HBL PSL has always been about pushing boundaries, both on and off the field. Just as the sea holds depth and mystery, PSL has been a vast reservoir of talent, resilience, and sportsmanship. This unique unveiling embodies the deep passion that our players and fans bring to the game.”
The 10th edition of PSL will be played across Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi from April 11 to May 18.
The opening match will feature defending champions Islamabad United against Lahore Qalandars at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
