Social media personality and content creator Rajab Butt has stirred fresh controversy after unveiling a tattoo of his mother’s portrait on his forearm. The gesture, intended as a loving tribute, has instead ignited a wave of criticism from both online users and religious scholars.
Now based in Dubai due to unresolved legal issues in Pakistan, Butt shared the tattoo in a recent vlog, explaining that it’s his second one and holds deep emotional value. “I’ve always wanted my mother’s image with me, and this was my way of showing how much I love her,” he said.

Despite the emotional sentiment behind it, many on social media were quick to condemn the act, citing Islamic teachings that prohibit tattoos. Critics accused Butt of glamorizing actions deemed impermissible in Islam while presenting them as loving expressions.

Adding to the controversy, Butt admitted in a later vlog that his mother disapproved of the tattoo. “She questioned my choice, saying love should be shown through behavior, not body art,” he revealed.
Online backlash has continued to intensify, with users warning that such public acts could mislead young followers. “Loving your mother is commendable, but doing so through a religiously prohibited act sends a confusing message,” one person commented.
Butt defended himself by claiming that some religious scholars permit tattoos and insisted that critics simply unfollow him if they disagree. “Not everyone has to agree with me,” he stated.
This incident adds to Butt’s long list of headline-grabbing actions — including his lavish wedding, frequent online arguments, and the controversial launch of his fragrance line ‘295,’ a number that sparked political debates.
Many are now urging Butt to take a break from the spotlight. “Not everything has to be a spectacle. Sometimes silence speaks louder than content,” one user remarked.
