On Sunday, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that the country has never pursued nuclear weapons and has no intention of doing so in the future, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to peace.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting in Tehran, Pezeshkian stated that Iran’s ongoing negotiations with the United States over its nuclear program are aimed at securing peace, not provoking conflict. He stressed that Iran’s nuclear ambitions are entirely peaceful, with no intention to disrupt regional stability.

Pezeshkian assured the international community that Iran has never sought, is not seeking, and will not seek nuclear weapons. He reiterated Tehran’s longstanding position and made it clear that while Iran is committed to diplomatic negotiations, it will not surrender its right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
These remarks come amid increased international scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear activities, as Western powers push for more transparency and adherence to the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which has faced challenges following the US’s withdrawal in 2018.
