U.S. President Donald Trump has touched down in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of his first official overseas tour. His arrival was met with significant fanfare, including a ceremonial escort by Saudi F-15 fighter jets as Air Force One entered the kingdom’s airspace—an indication of the high diplomatic importance of the visit.
Upon arrival at Riyadh Airport, President Trump was warmly received. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed him at the Royal Terminal, where the two shared a traditional Arabic coffee ceremony before Trump departed for his hotel. Streets across Riyadh were decorated with American and Saudi flags, underlining the significance of the occasion.

According to CNN, Air Force One landed at 2:49 a.m. ET (9:49 a.m. local time), and the grand welcome included a royal purple carpet at the terminal.
President Trump’s schedule includes high-level engagements throughout the day, such as bilateral talks with the crown prince, participation in the Gulf Summit, a formal welcoming ceremony, a luncheon with business leaders, and the signing of bilateral agreements at the Royal Court.
In addition to diplomatic meetings, he is also expected to address the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum, visit historic sites including Dir’iyah and At-Turaif—both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage landmarks—and attend a state banquet hosted by the crown prince.
Following his stay in Saudi Arabia, President Trump will continue his Middle East tour with planned visits to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. The trip is expected to feature discussions on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and key decisions concerning Palestine.
