UAE Budget Airline Begins Daily Flights to Peshawar, Boosting Travel Options

UAE state-owned budget airline Flydubai has expanded its operations in Pakistan by launching daily flights to Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The airline’s new route connects Dubai directly to Bacha Khan International Airport, offering a convenient travel option for passengers frequently commuting between the Middle East and northern Pakistan, especially those from Islamabad and nearby areas.

Flydubai’s inaugural flight FZ 375 touched down in Peshawar with 164 passengers on board and was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute. Airport authorities also celebrated the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony.

This new daily service enhances accessibility for overseas Pakistanis, business travelers, and families by providing direct and frequent connectivity between Peshawar and the UAE. The return flight to Dubai departed at 2:20 AM PKT, carrying 184 passengers—highlighting the high demand for this route.

According to the Pakistan Aviation Authority, about 75% of Peshawar airport’s traffic is international, and Flydubai’s entry will further strengthen air links to Gulf countries and beyond.

This development comes shortly after another boost to regional air travel, when Salam Air launched twice-weekly flights from Muscat to Peshawar in October 2023. With Flydubai now flying daily, travelers can benefit from increased flexibility, competitive pricing, and improved travel options between Pakistan and the UAE.
