Russian forces launched another wave of drone and missile attacks early Sunday, targeting Kyiv and several Ukrainian cities, killing at least three people near the capital and injuring dozens more. Officials reported significant damage to homes and infrastructure in the second consecutive night of large-scale aerial bombardment.
In Kyiv, 11 people were injured after drone strikes caused fires and damage in multiple districts. A five-storey residential building in the Holosiivskyi area was hit, and a private home and business centre were also damaged. Three people were killed in two small towns just outside the capital.

The attacks stretched across the country, with Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Ternopil, and Konotop all hit. In Kharkiv, three people were injured when drones struck multiple neighborhoods. Two more injuries were reported in Mykolaiv, and a missile strike in Ternopil sparked a fire and shattered windows.
Friday night had already seen one of the largest aerial assaults on Kyiv in the war so far, with dozens of drones and missiles injuring 15 people and damaging buildings. Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed it had intercepted 95 Ukrainian drones, while Moscow’s mayor said 12 were shot down near the Russian capital.
