Iran has officially confirmed the deaths of two senior military officials in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting critical Iranian military and intelligence sites, as reported by state media on Saturday.
The slain officers include General Gholamreza Mehrabi, deputy head of intelligence at the Iranian Armed Forces’ General Staff, and General Mehdi Rabbani, deputy chief of operations. Both were reportedly killed in the latest wave of Israeli strikes amid rising hostilities between the two nations.

In response, Iran launched another wave of ballistic and hypersonic missiles early Saturday as part of the fifth phase of its ongoing retaliatory campaign, “True Promise 3.”
Iranian media and international sources reported that this barrage targeted major Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv and Haifa, where multiple explosions were heard. Emergency sirens were activated across northern regions, urging residents to seek immediate shelter.
Iranian news agency Mehr, referencing Israeli reports, claimed a 50-story building in Tel Aviv suffered heavy damage, and dozens of drones and missiles managed to breach Israeli air defences, hitting vital infrastructure. Iranian officials warned that no region in Israel would remain untouched as the retaliation continues to unfold.
