China on Thursday voiced strong opposition to the use of force in international conflicts, responding to U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks about potentially taking military action in support of Israel amid escalating tensions with Iran.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun stated, “China opposes any act that infringes upon the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of other countries, and opposes the use or threat of use of force in international relations.” He urged all parties, particularly Israel, to cease hostilities and prioritize regional stability.

The call came as exchanges of fire between Israel and Iran continued, pushing the Middle East closer to broader conflict. China appealed to both nations to immediately halt the fighting for the sake of the region’s people.
Meanwhile, Iran’s deputy foreign minister Kazem Gharibabadi issued a stern warning to the U.S., cautioning against any military involvement. He stated that Iran is prepared to respond decisively to any external aggression, emphasizing that “all necessary options” remain on the table.
As global tensions mount, international players are urging restraint to prevent a wider regional or global escalation.
