Iqbal and Zaman have shown strong form in Malaysia, having participated earlier this month in the 23rd Asian Individual Squash Championships. Iqbal made it to the quarter-finals after defeating Hong Kong’s Lai Cheuk Nam, while Zaman narrowly lost a five-game battle to Malaysia’s Joachim Chuah in the pre-quarters.
Zaman has been in fine form this season, having claimed the men’s title at the U23 World Squash Championships in April with a memorable comeback win over Egypt’s Karim El Torkey.
